Congratulations on Risesun MGL winning the First Prize of Beijing Technology Invention Award!

Recently, the "Decision of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on the Beijing Science and Technology Awards for 2022" was announced, and the project of "Active Thermal Management and Industrial Application Technology System for Electric Vehicle Batteries Operating in a Wide Temperature Range", jointly developed by Rongsheng Mengguli, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Foton Motor, won the First Prize of Beijing Technology Invention Award.

New energy vehicles are China's strategic emerging industries, and power batteries are the core that determines vehicle performance and competitiveness. However, the working mechanism of batteries under high and low temperature conditions is complex, and their performance degradation is severe, leading to inaccurate estimation of battery running capacity, limited driving range at low temperatures, and short lifespan at high temperatures, which seriously restricts the comprehensive popularization of electric vehicles in cold and hot regions.

With the continuous support of major projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Beijing Municipal Government, Rongsheng Mengguli, together with Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Public Transport Group, Foton Motor, Beijing Institute of Technology Huachuang, and other units, has jointly constructed a theoretical, material, and engineering application technology system for active thermal management of lithium-ion power batteries under a wide temperature range of -40℃ to 50℃. They have developed wide-temperature-range battery and vehicle thermal management system products and achieved industrial applications. This technology has overcome the electrode process and electrolyte material issues related to battery cold and heat resistance, broadened the optimal working temperature range of the battery cell itself, and created a dual-source mutually exciting rapid self-heating battery system technology that does not rely on external energy sources. It is the first time globally to achieve rapid self-heating startup of vehicles in extremely cold conditions at -40℃, and increase the driving range retention rate of vehicles by 23% in an environment of -25℃. This technology has been successfully applied in batches to new energy buses for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Games.

During the coldest days of winter, the most freezing time is the third nine-day period. The "Active Thermal Management and Industrial Application Technology for Electric Vehicle Batteries Operating in a Wide Temperature Range" has enabled electric vehicles to withstand severe cold and heat, comprehensively improving the difficult situation of using electric vehicles in extremely cold winters and hot summers. Rongsheng Mengguli has always driven the company's development with technological innovation, supporting the development of the new energy industry.
