Over the past ten years, 1,335 buses equipped with MGL's high-power batteries have been operating stably in Shanghai's public transportation system. These vehicles shuttle day and night through every corner of the city, witnessing its vibrant life and rapid changes. This batch of buses in Shanghai has continued to operate stably for ten years, with the mileage of a single set of batteries exceeding 1 million kilometers. During the entire operation period, the vehicles have won high praise from customers for their extremely low failure rate, making outstanding contributions to the city's carbon emission reduction and customers' low-cost operations.
MGL equipped these vehicles with soft-packaged high-power lithium-ion batteries. After 10 years of operation covering over 1 million kilometers, the actual operational data has proven that the soft-packaged battery technology 10 years ago is fully capable of meeting the high durability requirements of commercial vehicles. It also demonstrates that the battery materials, manufacturing processes, BMS, and system components used in 2014 can all achieve 10 years of durable application. This provides verification results for the high durability requirements of the commercial vehicle industry: soft-packaged lithium-ion batteries and battery systems can fully meet the high-end demands of commercial vehicles.
Through the 10-year battery application of this project, MGL has accumulated a wealth of experience in commercial vehicle application strategies, reliability data for various components within the battery system, and battery maintenance and servicing.
